ULS staff now licensed librarian

A staff of the University Library System (ULS) at MMSU is now a licensed librarian. 

 

Ms. Maria Cristeta R. Llacuna, Administrative Aide VI, passed the Librarian Licensure Examination (LLE) with a rating of 81.50 percent. 

 

She graduated with a master’s degree in library and information science at the Saint Louis College in San Fernando City, La Union in 2020. 

 

She is among the 113 who passed, out of 237 examinees across the country in the September 2021 exam. They took oath as new librarians in the same month. 

 

The exam covered the following subjects: Library Organization and Management; Reference, Bibliography and User Services; Indexing and Abstracting; Cataloging and Classification; Selection and Acquisition; and Information Technology. (StratCom)
