MMSU alumni conduct relief ops in Batac

By Daniel P. Tapaoan, Jr.

As one way of reaching out to communities, the Federated Alumni Association, Inc. (FAAI) and the Alumni Relations Office (ARO) of Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) conducted a community outreach in Barangay Cangrunaan, City of Batac last January 22.

A total of 109 families of Sitio Bullilising in the said barangay each received five kilos of rice and grocery package during the relief drive.

Mr. Kurt and Mrs. Holly Jones, and Mr. Anthony and Angel Rodriguez from Canada donated Php 40,000 for the said purpose. Angel is a BS Physical Therapy graduate in 2000, while Kurt and Holly are business partners of the former.

The activity was led by FAAI President Gwynette Quidang and ARO Chief Krismary Sharmaine D. Yapo; along with Batac councilor and former FAAI president Bismark Angelo Quidang, and CHS OIC-Dean and former ARO chief Ryan Dean Sucgang. Also present were Dr. Mee Jay A. Domingo, director of MMSU’s internationalization, linkages and partnerships, FAAI officers, and ARO staff. (StratCom)
