USC launches merchandise store

The University Student Council (USC) formally launched its merchandise store, The Stallion Apparel, at the MMSU Student Center on January 16.

Serving as an income-generating initiative, the store sells hoodies, sweatshirts, keychains, mugs, and tote bags designed by MMSU students. To ensure observance of brand standards, the product designs were thoroughly evaluated by the Office of the Strategic Communication.

MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis expressed her delight on the creativity and resourcefulness of the students. She also commended the USC officers, headed by Hon. Karylle Ann Acosta, for leading this initiative. Aside from the income it will generate, the merchandise store will surely heighten pride in the MMSU brand, Dr. Agrupis said.

Mr. Marck Angelo Arcaperlas, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship Program, served as resource speaker for the event. He shared the attributes that have played a crucial role in his own entrepreneurial journey and emphasized the importance of innovativeness.

Other MMSU officials who joined the launching event were Dr. Prima Fe Franco, vice president for academic affairs Dr. Virgilio Julius Manzano Jr., vice president for planning and strategic foresight Prof. Emil James Tanagon, director for student affairs and services, and Prof. Maria Deleilah Adriatico, chief for student development. (MKA_StratCom)
