US Embassy honors MMSU

MMSU received a Recognition of Outstanding Excellence bestowed by the United States Embassy in Manila (EducationUSA) because of  its continuous efforts and commitment to promoting access to international education in the United States.


Dr. Jan Rich A. Guira, Chair of the Department of Languages and Literature of MMSU College of Arts and Sciences, received the award during the Education USA-CHED Speaker Series on Internationalization held at Novotel, Quezon City on November 21. Representing MMSU, he shared the best practices of the university being a driver of internationalization success.


The award is also in due recognition of the efforts of the MMSU administration in promoting US Embassy scholarships, US University and Institution Linkages, and other opportunities to MMSU faculty and students for internationalization.


MMSU has a number of standing partnerships with US universities and institutions that cater to educational programs, extension activities and capability-building of students, faculty and employees. Also, faculty and students have been given a chance to study in the US under different scholarships offered by the US Embassy.
