United University in India, MMSU ink deal for academic exchange

The United University (UU) in India has forged ties with Mariano Marcos State University for academic and research initiatives.

 

This partnership was formalized today, October 27, at the Center for Flexible Learning. The agreement was reached between MMSU President, Shirley C. Agrupis, and Dr. Chetan Vyas, the dean of Planning and Development at UU India. Their shared commitment is to promote global educational cooperation, and to provide the students and faculty members of both institutions with opportunities for international exposure and knowledge exchange.

 

In the next five years, MMSU and UU have pledged to facilitate faculty and student exchanges, spanning short-term and long-term academic and research activities. They also plan to collaborate on joint research projects, seminars, workshops, and conferences across different academic disciplines.

 

Moreover, MMSU and UU fully committed to offer a range of degree, diploma, and certificate programs to harness the unique strengths of each institution, and leverage their expertise in addressing global challenges. The establishment of an extension center of MMSU in India is also included.

 

The signing was attended by Dr. Prima Fe Franco, vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Virgilio Julius Manzano, vice president for planning and strategic foresight, Prof. Arlene Gonzales, Chief of international programs, and other faculty and staff members from MMSU.

 

After the MOU signing, a partnership meeting between Dr. Vyas and university officials was conducted. (JVBT, StratCom)
