PSIM conducts seminar to mech eng students

Members of the Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal (PSIM) - Makati Chapter paid a courtesy visit to Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., represented by Dr. Fides Bernardo Bitanga, OIC and Vice President for Administration, Finance and Business, on October 9 to discuss programs for students and young professionals.
The group was accompanied by faculty members from the College of Engineering (COE), led by its Dean, Dr. Sharona Barroga. Following their courtesy visit to the Office of the President, the delegation conducted a technical seminar for mechanical engineering students.
Speakers of the technical seminar were Engr. Christopher Dela Cruz on Student to Professional; Engr. Jerome Tolentino on Basic Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC); Engr. Clifford Gasalao on HVAC Energy Optimization; Engr. Albert Aromin on Load Calculation; Engr. Ronel Baes on Fire Protection; and Engr. Ben Wong on Basic Plumbing.
The seminar aimed to provide knowledge and industry insights to MMSU’s mechanical engineering students, highlight the importance of Mechanical Engineering in nation-building, and encourage students to participate in seminars, technical talks, and other activities that support academic and professional growth.
PSIM is a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-registered national organization and accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) provider for Mechanical Engineers by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
