
PSCA holds last flag ceremony as MMSU President

Before officially taking on her new role as Commissioner at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), outgoing MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis presided over her final flag-raising ceremony today, September 2, at the Gymnatorium.
In her speech, Dr. Agrupis recounted MMSU’s achievements during her term and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the university in her forthcoming role. “It is not only President Agrupis’ achievements but everyone’s achievements because you are part of the DNA of MMSU,” she said.
Furthermore, she urged the MMSU community to continue “upholding the university’s core values with fairness and integrity and with equal treatment to all institutions.”
The ceremony was attended by OIC President and concurrent Vice President for Academic Affairs Prima Fe Franco; Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation Nathaniel Alibuyog; Vice President for Administration and Finance Oscar Agpaoa; Vice President for Planning and Strategic Foresight Virgilio Julius Manzano Jr.; Vice President for Resource Generation and Management Bjorn Santos; President of the MMSU Federated Alumni Association Inc. Hon. Gwyneth Quidang along with members of the Board of Regents, directors and chiefs of units, deans, faculty members, and students.
Dr. Agrupis is scheduled to take her ceremonial oath as CHED Commissioner on Wednesday, September 3, at the CHED head office in Quezon City.
