Fourteen MMSU students visited Shandong Province in China as participants for a Philippine youth-friendly exchange visit hosted by Dezhou University (DZU) from November 28 to December 8.
Titled “Approaching the Agricultural Park and the Feeling the Rural Revitalization of Qilu,” the exchange program is part of MMSU`s 5-year partnership with DZU. The students experienced various activities, including symposia, traditional dancing, calligraphy, special concert, folk songs, poetry reciting, and cultural tours.
Apple Empleo, one of the students who joined the program, said “The activity made us experience numerous learning opportunities. These enabled us to broaden our understanding on language and culture, and motivated us to relay these teachings to our fellow students.”
Dr. Sheila Baquiran, a faculty member of the College of Business, Economics and Accountancy, viewed the event as an important step in strengthening international ties and enriching student experiences.
