Neijan Earl Gubac, a senior computer engineering student of Mariano Marcos State University, was cited as the Most Inspiring, Remarkable Youth and Dedicated Youth Advocate of the Year in the prestigious Gintong Parangal 2023.
The president of MMSU Advocates for Cultural Development (MACD) received the award in a program held August 19 at the Grand Ballroom in Okada, Manila.
Gubac’s recognition comes as no surprise to those familiar with his unwavering passion to serve the youth. As MACD president since 2021, he has advocated for a stronger relationship between the IP and non-IP students, increasing their engagement in relation to their purpose of advocating culture and arts in the university. He also serves as the circulation manager of the Salidumay Publication, which aims to represent MACD’s notable achievements.
“It is so wonderful for me to feel and hear that what I do makes an impact on society,” the native from Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte expressed.
Now in its second year, the Gintong Parangal recognizes outstanding individuals who have made significant contributions to the different sectors of the society. It includes business leaders, educators, content creators, media, influencers, public servants, entertainers, among others. (HLY/JVBT/DPT, StratCom)
