The Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and the Jiangsu Agri-Animal Husbandry Vocational College (JSAHVC) in China conducted an international lecture program on November 30. Faculty members and students from the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development and College of Veterinary Medicine convened at the MMSU Center for Flexible Learning for the lecture on animal science and horticulture. The lecture was also held virtually for participants outside the university.

Specializing in biological science and domestic livestock, Dr. Li Fang, a faculty member of JSAHVC, shared her insights on the animal science sector focused on dairy cows. In addition, Prof. Raymund Julius Rosales, a faculty member of CAFSD, presented his lecture on garden cultivation and management of stored pumpkins.

CAFSD Dean Charles Batin highlighted this initiative as a way to advance academic and research activities in agricultural-related fields. The activity was also supported by the MMSU Internationalization, Linkages and Partnerships office.

In August, MMSU and JSAHVC signed a memorandum of agreement at the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) Permanent Host Site in Guiyang City, China. Both institutions concurred to conduct academic meetings, and to implement research, development and extension programs. (JVBT, StratCom)
