For agricultural education and innovation, MMSU inks agreement with Indian firm

To expand agricultural education and innovation, MMSU and Haladhari’s KhetiValah Foundation and Haladhari Technology Pvt. Ltd. in India formalized its partnership through a virtual signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) and memorandum of agreement (MoA) today, September 25.

 

MMSU OIC President, Dr. Prima Fe R. Franco, KhetiValah CEO and Founder Lakshman Kannikanti, KhetiValah VP Niharika Kalangi, CAFSD OIC Dean Dr. Charles Batin, Chief, International Linkages and Partnerships Dr. Mee Jay Domingo, represented by Alumni Relations Chief Krismary Sharmaine Yapo, and CAFSD-Dingras Campus professor Dr. Jemmarie Suetos signed the agreements. The event was witnessed by MMSU Faculty Regent Dr. Sosima Demandante along with other representatives from both organizations.

 

The partnership aims to improve education and empower farmers through the use of technology. It will involve collaborative research, discussions, and agricultural sessions at national and international levels. These efforts will benefit both students and local communities.

 

Dr. Franco stressed the importance of the collaboration, stating, “This partnership represents an essential step to robust the knowledge on agriculture and make an impact on its changing trends.”

 

Kannikanti shared his excitement about the partnership, saying, “Together, we can create innovative pathways that empower learners and farmers to contribute to sustainable community growth.”

 

The collaboration will also facilitate a variety of educational dialogues, including KV Diyalogo (Filipino AgriTalks), Global English KV Dialogues, UrbanKrishi Dialogues, and the upcoming KhetiValah Global Agri Conclave 2024, benefiting students, farmers, and the broader community.


KhetiValah, an agritech platform, supports farmers by providing research-based guidance and financial assistance from visionary investors who are passionate about farming. It aims to help farmers achieve progress and success.
