Upholding high-quality teaching education in this part of the country for over a century, the Mariano Marcos State University - College of Teacher Education looks back to its reaped laurels as it optimizes its efforts to ‘normalize the tradition of excellence,’ in celebration of their 105^th foundation anniversary.  

Today, June 29, faculty, staff and students of the college gathered to banner CTE’s achievements through the years, in shaping young learners to become exemplary teachers of the future. They attended a thanksgiving mass and a ceremonial program, and enjoyed the anniversary fair displaying faculty and students’ instructional materials, literary and creative works.

The college’s alumni association also formally turned over the building named ‘Balay ti Alumni’ which will be used for academic, research, student and alumni activities of the college.

The celebration will culminate with an extravaganza of talents through a theatrical performance by the MMSU CTE Teatro Normal titled, “Taldiap 2022: Panangbigbig dagiti Lagip ti Kolehiyotayo,” (A Glimpse of 2022: Recognizing the Memories of our College). Directed by Prof. James G. Ventura, it will be along a gala show and a dinner-for-a-cause.

In the past weeks, the departments of the college also conducted a webinar series on the month-long anniversary celebration theme, “Normalizing the Tradition of Excellence.”

MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis commended the strong workforce of the college for “constantly raising the bar of excellence for the whole university - making a mark both here in the Philippines and in the world.”

Moreover, Dr. Aris V. Cajigal, the dean of the college, congratulated all stakeholders for all the collective accomplishments, saying the anniversary celebration was a highlight of “what it was, what it is, and what it will be." (JVBT/HLY,StratCom)
