COE, CAFSD grads hurdle licensure exams

Graduates of the MMSU College of Engineering and the College of Agriculture, Food and Sustainable Development exhibited a remarkable performance anew in three licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission in August and September.

 

These are the Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) licensure examination held last August 31 and September 1, Registered Master Electrician (RME) licensure examination held last September 2, and Forester licensure examination held last September 4-5.

 

Fifty-five out of 84 takers hurdled the test for REEs, giving MMSU an overall rating of 65.48 percent. Of these passers, 49 were took the test for the first time while six finally made it.

 

Of the 74 takers in the RME licensure examination, 53 passed - 50 were first timers while 3 were repeaters. These passers yielded an institutional passing rate of 71.62 percent, higher than the 59.54 percent national average.

 

Also, 17 out of 24 examinees also passed the licensure examination for foresters, 14 of which took the test for the first time while three took it again. These passers exhibited a total of 70.83 percent institutional passing rate as against the 55.95 percent national success rate.

 

The MMSU passers are among the 3,285 new REEs, 2,634 new RMEs, and 1,082 new foresters in the country.
