Alorica Teleservices, Inc. has partnered with Mariano Marcos State University to conduct skills development initiatives for MMSU students and alumni, as part of their academe linkage program. MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and Alorica Director for Talent Acquisition Marvin Vinluan signed a memorandum of agreement today, September 18 for this purpose.

The agreement includes the implementation of training and seminars for MMSU students and alumni to equip them with industry skills. Alorica will also offer employment opportunities, internships, career fairs and assistance for curriculum enhancement.

Dr. Agrupis said, “The collaboration helps to fill gaps between the industry and the academe.” She also plans to explore joint micro-credential programs, to which Mr. Vinluan expressed interest.

The Alorica director was joined by talent acquisiton supervisor Kenneth Vincent Duro and other human resources staff from the company.

The MOA signing at the FEM hall this morning was witnessed by Dr. Mee Jay Domingo, external linkages and partnerships director, Prof. Emil James Tanagon, student affairs and services director, Prof. Krismary Sharmaine Yapo, alumni relations chief, and Prof. Geraldeen Pascual, career hub chief.
