9 pass fisheries technologist licensure exam

Nine graduates from the MMSU College of Aquatic Sciences and Applied Technology (CASAT) hurdled the Fisheries Technologist licensure examination given by the PRC last October 23-24.

These passers obtained an institutional performance rating of 50 percent as against the 34.79 percent national success rate. Of these passers, seven took the exam for the first time while two finally made it.

These successful examinees were among the 731 new fisheries technologists in the country.

Last year, 14 BS Fisheries graduates passed the same exam, giving MMSU an overall rating of 70 percent. Atty. Jerick Christian P. Dagdagan also emerged as the number one topnotcher in the same test in 2011.

MMSU has been recognized as a national university for fisheries.
