Aside from being a medical service frontliner of the Mariano Marcos State University, Mr. Christian Jay L. Subaste also initiated another effort to help the university in its fight against the current health crisis.

Mr. Subaste, Nurse II of the MMSU Health and Wellness Services (HWS) in Laoag campus, has produced washable face masks for the frontliners of the university.

He turned over 200 pieces of face mask to the HWS director, Dr. Leonisa Silvestre.

One hundred thirty of which were already distributed to the security guards, medical service providers, and food service workers in Batac and Currimao campuses on May 7.

The remaining face masks will also be given to the frontliners in Laoag campus next week.

The face masks have the shades of green and gold, the brand colors of MMSU.

Subaste also expressed gratitude to the Liberty Commercial Batac for giving him additional 30 yards of cloth and other supplies.

Before this, Subaste’s sister Cindy Mae also gave face masks to community frontliners.

“It is in this time of pandemic that we need to help each other in order for us to eradicate COVID-19,” he mused. (StratCom)
