The help they offered ranged from filling out forms to personally accompanying the enrolees in going to the different offices, and in looking for dormitories. It was the first-ever student initiative of its kind.

Prof. Henedine Aguinaldo, director of student services, commended the group for their initiative. Noticing that their efforts made freshmen feel more welcome to the university community, she expressed hope that more student organizations will follow their lead.

ENCM, a duly recognized student organization, has over 50 members, and is led by Jayvee Maximo A.Valenzuela, an incoming fifth-year mechanical engineering student.
