AMIDST THE global financial crunch, President Miriam E. Pascua requested MMSU employees to inform students about loans that could be availed of at the Office of Student Services and Development (OSSD).
Dr. Pascua, who gave the message during the flag raising ceremony at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Hall on Monday, May 27, said she was deeply moved with the report of a student who attempted to take his own life after learning that the carabao that they were to sell to pay for his tuition died. The student’s mother, who arrived in the scene in the nick of time to avoid the tragedy, came to the university last week to relay the incident.
Currently available at the OSSD is the Student Development Fund Loan with a maximum of Php2, 500 payable within the semester.
