Seven programs undergo Preliminary Survey Visit

The MMSU Quality Assurance (QA) conducted its Preliminary Survey Visit (PSV) for seven programs on June 10, 11, and 13 at the Center for Flexible Learning.


With its strong commitment to national and international standards, the PSV is an essential step before the accreditation process by the Accrediting Association of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines.


The seven programs that underwent internal accreditation are Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, Bachelor of Culture and Arts Education, Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Special Needs Education, Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education, and Master in Management.


These programs were evaluated by internal accreditors of the university, comprising of Dr. Byron Joseph Hallar, Dr. Bethany Grace Calixto, Dr. Dexter Adriatico, Prof. Judith Valenzuela, Dr. Ryan Samuel Ramos, Dr. Eva Jean Viernes, Prof. James Patrick Acang, Ms. Virginia Medrano, and Ms. Benelyn Salvador.


MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis extended her gratitude to the internal accreditors, deans, department chairs, program coordinators, and faculty members for their commitment to ensuring that the seven programs are of international quality.


Prof. Reynold Villacillo, MMSU director of quality assurance and Prof. Marlyn Cacatian, MMSU chief for program accreditation spearheaded the PSV.


Also present at the event were Dr. Prima Fe Franco, MMSU vice president for academic affairs; Dr. Virgilio Julius Manzano Jr., MMSU vice president for planning and strategic foresight; Dr. Aris Reynold Cajigal, CTE dean; Dr. Marlina Lino, CAS dean, Dr. Saturnina Nisperos, CCIS dean; and Dr. Doreen Domingo, graduate school dean.
