Seminar-workshop unifies MMSU protocols
As the University gears toward achieving its strategic goal of having efficient and effective management systems, a system of protocols in planning, knowledge management, monitoring, and evaluation (PKMME) was consolidated at the close of the seminar-workshop held at the University Training Center last February 13-15.
Among the other outputs of the activity are the repackaged long-term strategic and operational plans, final version of process flow charts of all operational units of the university, and refined PKMME templates.
Speaking before the associate deans and secretaries of the different colleges and representatives from different units, MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis said, “this initiative would eventually improve the protocols of managing programs and projects that serve as compass for the development of the university.”
Initiated by the Directorates of Planning and Extension, the worshop aimed to capacitate MMSU constituents in PKMME, specifically in tracking down and measuring the performance of MMSU programs and projects in academics, extension, and research. The workshop also included management and intervention strategies for the various units to deliver more efficient services.
Resource persons of the seminar-workshop were Engr. Ami Ruth R. Cocson, vice president for planning and finance; Dr. Carmelo J. Esteban, director for planning; Prof. Reynold P. Villacillo, chief for knowledge management; and Dr. Sherlyn B. Nicolas, chief for monitoring and evaluation.
