Pamplona townsfolk gear up for commercialization
An 850-liter biothenaol facility will be inaugurated in Cabaggan village in Pamplona, Cagayan tomorrow, Aug. 12.
A major development in the USAID-funded research on village-scale bioethanol production, the launch will be witnessed by officials of USAID, RTI, DOE, NEDA, and the Ethanol Producers Association of the Philippines. The local governments of the province of Cagayan and the municipality of Pamplona are extending their full support to the project.
Prior to this, capacity-building activities were held to properly equip the technology adaptors to effectively run the facility.
Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, MMSU bioethanol project leader, expressed her elation. “We are a step closer towards our big dream of commercially engaging with the mainstream bioethanol industry,” she said, explaining that this will result to inclusive progress in the community.
