TWO VEHICLES, a bus and a van, were recently purchased by the university. The HINO RK1 JST bus, which has a gross price of Php5.85-m has a seating capacity of 50, plus 11 jump seats, while the Php1.3-m 2009 Grand Starex van can seat up to 12 passengers.

Recognizing the need to continuously update the knowledge and skills of both students and personnel, President Miriam E. Pascua said the vehicles could be used for study tours, among other purposes. She stressed, however, of the importance of drafting a re-entry plan should employees take educational trips.

Led by Physical Plant and General Services Director Romeo R. Duldulao and Motorpool Chief Nathaniel Ericson R. Mateo, drivers from the motorpool were briefed on the proper operation of these vehicles in a hands-on training held May 27.
