Recognizing MMSU’s expertise in public information, the Commission on Higher Education CHED Regional Office I - Ilocos Region (CHED-ROI) tapped the MMSU Office for Strategic Communication (STRATCOM) to lead a session in its “Producing Quality Social Media Content” training on February 10 via Zoom, aiming to enhance office’s skills in creating impactful social media posts.
CHED-ROI Director Christine Ferrer explained that the training is part of Project WRITES (Writing Responsibly through Information Sessions, Training, and Engagement with Stakeholders), designed to enhance staff communication skills and strengthen their online presence. The regional director thanked MMSU for its role in elevating CHED-ROI’s digital engagement strategies.
During the session, STRATCOM Director Herdy Yumul highlighted the importance of Institutional Brand Standards, underscoring the need for consistency across platforms. University Press Chief Jareason Fabre also shared insights on Information Management and Social Media Strategies, stressing the impact of well-organized and optimized content.
Additionally, Documentation Services Chief Jackson Tangonan led the session on Video Production for Social Media, focusing on crafting compelling and high-impact videos. Meanwhile, Digital Media Chief Renzie Aguada discussed Graphic Design for Social Media, emphasizing visual appeal and cohesive branding.
Director Yumul thanked CHED-ROI for trusting MMSU and assured them of the university’s continued support in improving social media management in the region.
As one of the first Philippine state universities to institutionalize brand standards, MMSU, through the STRATCOM, remains committed to strengthening its communication efforts and sharing best practices to help institutions enhance their digital presence.
