MMSU probiotics team holds workshop on research writing, Scopus publication

By Stephanie Camille Ilar
Entering its final phase, the Mariano Marcos State University IFP-Probiotics Research Program initiated a Workshop on Research Writing and Publication in Scopus-Indexed Journals on September 17 to 19 at the Center for Flexible Learning.
The workshop provides project staff and research assistants a venue to refine their manuscripts, align findings with the journal requirements, and enhance scientific writing skills.
Serving as resource speakers are Dr. Junrie Matias, Director of the Research & Development and Publication Office, and Dr. Jeffrey Dellosa, Vice President for Research and Development, Innovation, and Extension, both from Caraga State University.
Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation Nathaniel Alibuyog expressed his support for the workshop, saying that it will strengthen the researchers’ scholarly writing capabilities and will advance the university's goal of increasing high-quality publications in reputable indexed journals.
Meanwhile, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Fides Bitanga, representing MMSU President Virgilio Julius P. Manzano, Jr., added that while there is a need to publish more, integrity and quality in writing must remain a priority.
By enabling participants to draft submission-ready manuscripts, the workshop promotes the MMSU’s goal towards scientific visibility, credibility, and contribution to international research.
