Pushing forward its aim to become a Smart University, Mariano Marcos State University now counts Huawei Philippines among its increasing number of reputable partners in the promotion of innovative learning. 

Huawei Philippines, a global provider of information and communications technology infrastructure and smart devices, sent a team of officers to MMSU on September 5 to meet with MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis and other school administrators.

In a partnership meeting held at the Center for Flexible Learning, officials from both agencies committed to collaboratively explore new ways to create a more conducive learning environment by equipping MMSU with cutting edge communications technology. 

Public affairs manager Chahol Liang, talent ecosystem manager Andrei Manuel, and regional manager for Central and North Luzon Randy Lin represented Huawei Philippines in the event. 

They committed to hold a demonstration of the company’s IdeaHub in the university which shows the recommended smart classroom setup. 

Dr. Saturnina Nisperos, director for futures thinking and strategic foresight, shared her excitement for possible tie up activities in data analytics and research and development which will improve the MMSU 4.0 framework. The possibility for MMSU information technology students to have internship in the company was also laid on the table. 

Mr. Liang expressed his gratitude to MMSU for its readiness to engage in a meaningful technological partnership.
