MMSU is champion anew in 2017 culture and the arts festival

At the close of the 2017 Regional Culture and the Arts Festival held last October 25-26, the MMSU Team Stallions has again proven that winning in this annual competition is its way of life.

Held at the University of Northern Philippines (UNP) in Vigan City, the team trampled the other five state colleges and universities (SUCs) after garnering a whooping 180 points in the official overall ranking leaving behind its closest rival, the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), which garnered only 143 points.

UNP, the host of this year’s festival, was upset with 132 points,  a hairline victory for the third place against Pangasinan State University (PSU), which got only 130 points.

On the other hand, the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College (ISPSC) got 71 points, while the North Luzon Philippines State College (NLPSC) got 53 points which made them land fifth and sixth places, respectively.

Of the 139-strong Team Stallions, 60 will represent PASUC Region 1 in the following events in the 2017 PASUC Culture and the Arts Competition, which will be held in Dumaguete City on November 28, 29, 30 andDecember 1: vocal solo (kundiman), vocal duet, radio drama, live band, folk dance, contemporary dance, hip hop dance, and Mr. PASUC.

At the close of the pageant, the team bagged best in talent for Miss and Mr. PASUC, best in regional attire (male), and Miss Photogenic (female).
