MMSU gives Nipahol, face masks to Laoag City frontliners
The MMSU COVID-19 Task Force provided Nipahol and improvised face masks to the frontliners in Laoag City.
Led by Dr. Cesario Pacis, dean of the College of Industrial Technology, the team roamed around the city to distribute 20 liters of Nipahol and 150 pieces of face mask.
Recipients of the said rations were the frontliners stationed in 21 barangay checkpoints, four major route checkpoints, and at the Laoag City Hall.
Nipahol is 70% ethyl alcohol produced by the MMSU-National Bioenergy Research and Innovation Center (NBERIC) out of the bioethanol processed from nipa sap. Meanwhile, the face masks are produced by CIT out of table napkins and garter.
This effort is MMSU's continued commitment to contribute in combatting the spread of COVID-19. (StratCom)
