MMSU faces ISO audit

By Daniel P. Tapaoan, Jr.

Confirming its compliance with international quality standards, Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) submits its quality management system (QMS) to the surveillance audit being conducted by the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. from March 1-3.

The surveillance audit aims to determine if the certified management system continues to fulfil the requirements after SOCOTEC awarded MMSU with the ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2020.

The ISO certification includes the University services in providing advanced, professional, and higher education, in conducting research and extension, and its support functions in its Batac, Laoag, and Currimao campuses.

The three-day surveillance audit involves virtual interview sessions with the MMSU top management and process owners; evaluation of documented information, management review and responsibilities for MMSU’s policies, and reports of all non-conformities.

Ella Riza N. Ajero, Kim Winston Pajares, and Melvin Gruesco of SOCOTEC serve as the system auditors for the MMSU’s QMS. They will present the surveillance audit findings through a closing meeting on March 3. (StratCom)
