The MMSU Alumni Relations Office launched its Alumni Mentorship Program (AMPS) today, October 11, at the Center for Flexible Learning, strengthening academic guidance for students. The program connects students with alumni mentors, offering personalized support and advice to enhance their educational journey. Aligned with CMO No. 9, series of 2013, the initiative promotes holistic student development and leadership.

Dr. Oscar Agpaoa, MMSU vice president for Administration, Finance, and Business, highlighted the program's role in preparing students for global demands, while Alumni Relations chief Krismary Sharmaine Yapo emphasized the importance of alumni mentors in upholding MMSU’s core values.

The web-based program offers several innovative features to streamline mentor-mentee interactions. Alumni mentors can update their profiles to enhance credibility and set their availability through an integrated scheduling tool. The platform also includes a messaging application to facilitate seamless communication among mentors, mentees, and planning and development coordinators. Additionally, a feedback and rating system allows participants to track progress and ensure quality mentorship experiences.

During the launch, ITC Skills Development chief Christian Jade Guillen led an onboarding session, providing alumni mentors with a user manual and live demonstrations.

MMSU faculty, planning and development coordinators, and students participated in the event. Yoshilyn Fujitani, a computer science student and participant, shared how being part of the development team for AMPS has further inspired his pursuit of computer science.

Students and alumni can access the AMPS platform by visiting https://alumni-mentoring.mmsu.edu.ph, fostering a stronger connection between the university's current students and its accomplished alumni network.
