MAEd student 3rd best oral presenter in nat’l research tilt

A student of the Master of Arts in Education, major in Physics program won as third best oral presenter during the 8th National Research Conference in Science and Mathematics Education held Nov. 10-11, 2022 at the Garden Orchid Hotel in Zamboanga City.

 

Ms. Jessica Cudapas-Javier competed with 18 researchers from across the country in the competition, under the instructional materials development category. Her study delved on the development of e-Komiks in teaching physics. Dr. Vida Antonio served as her adviser.

 

Javier expressed her gratitude to her adviser and to the program for expanding her capability in research.

 

Other oral presenters from MMSU were Nathaniel De Guzman, Jerome Pio, Precious Balguna, and Tricia Sagucio. Technical poster presenters in the same activity included Cherie Vijuan and Star Jewel Bisenio.

 

Dr. Aris Reynold Cajigal, project director of the university’s Capacity Building Program in Science and Mathematics Education, accompanied the presenters in the research conference aimed at boosting graduate students’ skills on emerging trends and innovations in science and mathematics teaching.

 

With the theme "Redefining the Future: Embracing the New Normal through Innovative STEM Education," the research conference was attended by over 200 CBPSME scholars sponsored by the DOST Science Education Institute. (APT/JVB, StratCom)
