A team of pupils from the MMSU Laboratory Elementary School (LES) Laoag campus emerged second runner-up in the PatalaSanlahi National Quiz Show 2021 conducted by the University of the Philippines (UP) last March 27-29. 

Jacob Miguel L. Flor, Angel Mark Antin P. Planta, and Elijah Jeroham Nikulae M. Alimpia, all grade 6 pupils, etched remarkable scores in eight quiz bee topics: Mathematics, Science, English, Filipino, History, Ilocano Culture, General Information, and Current Events.

“Our pupils once again emerged to be one of the best in the nation,” expressed Dr. Bert A. Gamiao, laboratory schools principal, hoping that more learners from the MMSU Laboratory Schools will join similar events in the future. 

These stalwart geniuses prevailed champions in the regional qualifying round of UP Namnama Sirit and Saririb Contest – Quiz Bee. Prof. Romelyn T. Lagura served as their coach.

PatalaSanlahi is an academic inter-school competition joined by grade school, junior high school, and senior high school students from the different regions in the Philippines. - by Mark Ian C. Tagami, Correspondent
