RETIRED Manila Judge Ed Vincent Albano donated to MMSU seven law books, all of which he authored except one which was written by Ed Vincent A. Albano III, his son.

A widely respected law reviewer and lecturer, Albano made the donation during the launch of his new book, \"Philippine Government and Constitution,\" on May 19 at the Northwestern University.

Now form part of the MMSU College of Law library are Albano’s works, including Legal and Judicial Ethics (with legal and judicial forms), Political Law Reviewer, Remedial Law Reviewer, Civil Law Reviewer, Persons and Family Relations, Philippine Government and Constitution, and Commentaries on Jurisprudence on Land Titles and Deeds, the book authored by Albano III, an associate solicitor at the Office of the Solicitor General.

Albano, who traces his roots in Dingras town in Ilocos Norte, is presently the dean of the College of Law of the University of Perpetual Help System in Laguna. Before taking the deanship in 1998, he served as presiding judge of both the Metropolitan and Regional Trial courts in the City of Manila and at the Regional Trial Court in Guagua, Pampanga.

Squeezed between his law practice and deanship is a teaching post in prestigious law schools, including the San Beda College of Law. He conducts lectures among law students, graduates, practitioners, and judges around the country and provides lectures in Civil Law to members of the Philippine Judicial Academy.

Albano, who is currently a candidate for a vacant post at the Supreme Court, expressed willingness to come to MMSU in the future to do a lecture.
