IIEE partners with MMSU for web app development
By Jesslyn Keith Valite
The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IIEE) partnered with MMSU to develop a custom web application to improve IIEE's online services and member accessibility. The partnership was formalized by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on November 27 at the SMX Function Hall, Manila.
This partnership supports IIEE’s goal of modernizing its digital platforms and shows MMSU’s focus on driving technological progress through innovative collaborations.
The Department of Computer Engineering (DCE) at MMSU College of Engineering (COE) will lead the project, with faculty members contributing their expertise in software development to create an efficient and comprehensive web application. This initiative offers faculty the chance to apply their skills to a real-world project as part of professional growth.
MMSU OIC-President Prima Franco headed the university delegation at the signing ceremony, alongside COE Dean Sharona Barroga and DCE Chair Vladimir Ibañez. Representing IIEE were its National President, Dr. Florigo Varona, and Northern Luzon Governor Rigor Gabur. Also present were MMSU-CTE Dean Aris Cajigal and other IIEE officials.
Dr. Franco ensured that MMSU’s involvement in the project goes beyond the web application’s development. “We are committed to addressing IIEE’s needs effectively,” she stated, adding that the collaboration not only benefits IIEE but also offers valuable opportunities for faculty to engage in impactful projects and further enhance their expertise.
The web application will be designed to make IIEE’s online services easier to use and include features that improve communication and networking among members. This digital change is expected to help IIEE provide smooth services to members across the country.
The partnership is also set to improve IIEE’s operations and member satisfaction and further establish MMSU as a trusted partner in technology development.
