The College of Teacher Education recognized its Balay ti Alumni donors during its Alumni and Awards Night held last February 14.
The college gave special citations to the building’s wall donors, room sponsors, alumni kings and queens in grateful appreciation of the alumni’s overwhelming efforts to help build CTE’s Balay ti Alumni.
An awards committee was created to recognize the generous donors. Through the committee head, Dr. Alegria T.Visaya (NLTC Class of 1972), the individual and group donors were given platinum, gold, silver, and bronze awards.
The committee also recognized the class with the biggest donation which is the NLTC Class of 1968. Meanwhile, the NLTC Class of 1973 was also recognized as the Royal Class as it has produced a king and a number of queens in a row from 2015 to 2019.
Dr. Rosabel L. Acosta, outgoing alumni affairs coordinator, said that the accumulated donations totaled to PhP 3.8 million and USD 3,000.
MMSU Federated Alumni Association Inc. President Bismark A. Quidang, the event’s guest of honor, said, “I am confident that the Alumni Relations Office will link all alumni who are now global citizens to be a blessing to President Shirley C. Agrupis’ ACHIEVE”.
In the event, Ms. Aurelia Bacud-Opeña (NLTC Class of 1970) was also hailed as the CTE Alumni Queen 2020.
The Alumni Night is an annual event of the College, gathering graduates even from its predecessor school.
