A COMMITTEE to take charge of concerns on personnel exchanges, sabbatical leaves, and professional visits was created April 10 by President Miriam E. Pascua.  The group’s composition has been released through Special Order 08-015.

Dr. Nancy GB. Balantac, VPAA, was designated chair of the body with Atty. Ramon A. Leaño, administrative services director, as co-chairman.  Dr. Wilma C. Natividad, admissions director and university registrar; and Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, international programs division chief, were appointed as regular members.

The following were, likewise, chosen as AdHoc members:  Dr. Frederick F. Rodrigo, instructional materials production chief and development communication program coordinator; Ms. Virginia J. Catudan, personnel office chief (for personnel exchanges); and dean/director of the college/unit (for professional visits).

The group is tasked to disseminate to the university community opportunities for the said concerns and receive and process applications for such which have been properly endorsed by the college committee. It is also responsible in recommending to the university president, after thorough deliberation, faculty members or other personnel who may go on such opportunities.

The committee is also tasked to formulate memoranda  of agreement with a specific institution or agency, stipulating the conditions for a specific exchange or visitor’s program; receive, review, and endorse to the university president periodic and terminal reports including all required outputs of faculty members and personnel who have enjoyed any of these privileges; and initiate or recommend to the proper office or body appropriate action that may be taken against any faculty member or personnel who violates any provision of the contract governing the  mentioned privileges enjoyed.
