CIT wins 4 awards
CIT brought home four awards in an exhibit contest that highlighted the soft launching of the S&T Park Expo Center on Jan. 6.
In the Best-Tasting and Best Packaging categories, the college’s dragon fruit pasta and dragon fruit slim chews won first place from among the food products displayed. The two products were formulated through the leadership of Prof. Fairy Ann Acebedo. The college’s ceramic products also garnered the first place under the Most Innovative/Creative Products. Their booth emerged second place in the Best Booth category.
Second and third in the Best-Tasting category were the seaweed caragel and yam bread with raisins of Dr. Zenaida Agngarayngay and Noralyn Legaspi of the CRL, respectively.
Also, the nipa wine products of Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis won second in the Best Packaging category, while the mango jam of Prof. Nelia Sarian of CAFSD won third. Second and third prizes in the Most Innovative/Creative category were bagged by the ceramic products and the programmable toggle switch, respectively, by COE. The latter was designed by engineer Tomas Ubia.
Moreover, CAFSD bagged the first place in the Best Booth category, while the various exhibitors of food products won third.
