To foster unity among its faculty, students and administrators, the College of Business, Economics and Accountancy (CBEA) conducted series of activities in celebration of its 33rd founding anniversary.

With the theme, “Semper Ad Meliora: Always Towards Better Things,” the events happened last February 10 were participated by around 1,300 students, 60 alumni and 30 faculty and staff.  The celebration was spearheaded by the CBEA Faculty Club, Alumni Association, and the Student Council.

The celebration started with a thanksgiving service and an opening program at the University Covered Court.  Highlighting the event was the inauguration of the college’s new building led by the college dean, Dr. Angelina Abrojena. The structure, with six classrooms, addresses the need to accommodate the burgeoning population of the college.

Moreover, the students joined in a team-building activity to tighten their bonds. Their respective organizations also put up booths in the college.

A Lunch-for-a-Cause activity was also held to purchase LED wall to be placed at the lobby and an amplifier speaker to be set up at the college’s social hall.

The celebration culminated with simultaneous departmental fora with the various stakeholders of the college - the representatives from industries, government agencies, non-government organizations, alumni, students and parents. They discussed about the revised proposed curriculum of the different degree programs of the college and their respective College Research, Extension and Development Agenda (CREDA).
