MR. AND MRS. TONY ULIT of the Annak ti Batac of Southern California (ABSC) and Mr. Jun Rigonan of the Jose G. Rigonan Foundation Scholarship Grant paid a call to President Miriam E. Pascua last month. On that occasion, President Pascua expressed her gratitude to the benefactors who reaffirmed their continued support to their scholars.

In the presence of Prof. Henedine A. Aguinaldo, Director of the Office of Student Services and Development, and Prof. Divina M. Cayabyab, Chief of Student Scholarship and Assistantship, the Ulit couple handed the amount of US$720 for the annual stipend of ABSC’s six continuing scholars. Mr. Rigonan likewise gave US$600 for the yearly stipend of their four new beneficiaries. The first batch of Rigonan scholars graduated on April 3.

The students were delighted to meet the ‘Good Samaritans’ who help them push through with their studies. Prof. Aguinaldo, for her part, was appreciative of the benefactors’ taking time to meet their scholars to provide them, not only with financial help, but with inspiration and motivation as well.
