7 faculty members accredited full professors

SIX FACULTY members holding the academic rank of Associate Professor V and one Associate Professor IV were granted accreditation to become full professors by the members of the Technical Working Group on Accreditation of Professors (TWG-AP) in a final evaluation held at MMSU on May 25.

Prior to their accreditation, the candidates’ supporting documents underwent initial review and pre-screening by the members of the PASUC NBC 461 TWG-AP at the PASUC Zonal Faculty Evaluation Center in UNP, Vigan City on May 6.

The following are the newly accredited full-fledged professors:  Joselito I. Rosario, professor V; Angelina A. Tagay, professor IV; Marivic M. Alimbuyuguen, professor III; Maura Luisa S. Gabriel and Eva B. Macugay, professor II; and Frederick F. Rodrigo and Doreen D. Domingo, both Professor I.

During the pre-screening evaluation, Rosario, who teaches forestry subjects at CAFSD, garnered 187.82 points, while Tagay who teaches accountancy subjects at CBEA, garnered 178.08 points. Rosario has a PhD in Forestry while Tagay holds a PhD in Development Management.

Alimbuyuguen, who has a PhD in Rural Development, garnered 176 points. She is currently CAS dean. Gabriel and Macugay got 170 and 167 points, respectively. Gabriel has as an MS in Horticulture major in Postharvest Physiology, while Macugay holds a PhD in Science Education, major in Biology.

Rodrigo and Domingo got 164.48 and 161.80 points, respectively. Rodrigo, who has a PhD in Development Communication, teaches at CAFSD while Domingo who holds two doctoral degrees – PhD in Biology and EdD major in Educational Management – teaches at CAS.

The members of the TWG-AP are: Dr. Elsie M. Pacho of DMMMSU, Dr. Carmelo F. Beria of ISPSC, Prof. Vicente L. Trinidad of MMSU, Prof, Estrella C. Gaerlan of NLPSC, Dr. Zenaida U. Suyat of PSU, and Prof. Rolando R. Ragasa and Dr. Ocarna B. Figuerres of UNP.
