Shandong Academy of Governance officials visit MMSU

 

Anchoring on the strong ties between Shandong Province in China and Ilocos Norte, the Shandong Academy of Governance and Mariano Marcos State University are set to partner for internationalization programs. 

 

The SAG delegation, led by Vice President Si Quiang, conducted a partnership meeting with key MMSU officials today, August 1, at the University Center for Flexible Learning. 

 

Both teams discussed opportunities for collaboration, such as mutual faculty placement, educational exchanges, talent exchange, and the potential establishment of the Shandong Academy of Governance Civil Service Training and Exchange Center in Laoag City. 

 

MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis welcomed the tie-up between the two institutions, saying she looks forward to a successful and sustainable agreements. 

 

“We anticipate to having a good partnership with you, where we can exchange ideas, innovations, and products from our respective schools,” expressed SAG Vice President Si. 

 

Other SAG officials who visited MMSU were Prof. Zhao Yuxia, dean of school of international exchange; Prof. Sun Xiuting, deputy director of the department of economics; history professor Wang Juxin, and political science professor Liu Fei. 

 

MMSU officials who joined the meeting were Dr. Prima Fe Franco, vice president for academic affairs; Engr. Ami Ruth Cocson, vice president for planning and development; Dr. Mee Jay Domingo, director for internationalization, linkages and partnerships; Prof. Herdy Yumul, director for strategic communication; Prof. Arlene Gonzales, international programs chief; Prof. Jeanette Dials, international faculty and student mobility chief; Prof. Krismary Yapo, alumni relations chief; and Dr. Margarita Hilario, chair of the public administration program of the MMSU Graduate School.Also present in the meeting were Prof. Orlino Mandac of economics department; and Prof. Sonny Rae Fernando and Prof. Bella Ramos of social sciences department. 

 

Earlier this year, MMSU sealed partnerships with Dezhou University and Shandong Academy of Agricultural Sciences in China. (StratCom)
