Pharmacy dep’t conducts career seminar
College of Health Sciences – Looking into the need for graduating students to further hone their skills in personality development, as well as to make them ready for the world of job hunting, the Department of Pharmacy here tendered a seminar along these essentials last March 6 at the University Training Center.
Ms. Jesusa Apostol, community service head of SMART Telecommunications-Ilocos Norte, discussed on personality development. On the other hand, Mr. Herdy Yumul, social science instructor and print media chief of the MMSU Communication and Media Relations Office, shared effective job-hunting tips. Employees from St. Joseph Drugstore were also invited for a company orientation.
“This will serve as a good preparation for them as they go out to the world of work,†said Mr. Rhian Jaymar Ramil, faculty member in charge of the activity. According to Nikko Angelo Bulan, level IV student and one of the participants, the event was truly significant for him and his classmates because it taught them to prepare for a job through the development of their personal qualities.
This event, which started in 1993, is sponsored yearly by the BS Pharmacy Level IV students as a requirement for PhAM 103 (Pharmaceutical Marketing).
