PASUC-I honors MEP

SHE LED the organization for four years, and with great pride.

The six member-SUCs of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges in Region I pay tribute to Dr. Miriam E. Pascua, the association’s president from July 2011 to June 2015, in their meeting today, Aug. 14, at the FEM Conference Hall.

This is attended by SUC presidents, cultural and sports directors, and NBC focal persons.

Prof. Arsenio T. Gallego, regional sports and cultural director during the same period, will also be recognized.

Dr. Pascua, MMSU president from May 2005 to May 2015, together with Prof. Gallego, led PASUC-I to enviable feats, foremost of which is the National Overall Championship in the PASUC  Cultural and Literary Festival held in the National Capital Region in 2012. Dr. Pascua served as vice president for Luzon in the PASUC National Executive Board, while Prof. Gallego, director of MMSU’s Center for Human Movement Studies (formerly PESSDO), is vice president of the Dance Education Association of the Philippines.

DMMMSU president Benjamin P. Sapitula, who assumed the PASUC-I presidency in June, is set to deliver a message during the brief awarding ceremony. (By Herdy La. Yumul)
