BOARD OF REGENTS – Central Student Council (CSC) President Emil James P. Tanagon took his oath of office as member of the MMSU Board of Regents (BOR) during its 98th regular meeting, June 6, at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-North La Union Campus in Sapilang, Bacnotan. He took over from former regent Reindel Owen E. Salvador who graduated as magna cum laude in BA Sociology during the 34th University Commencement Exercises on April 2.

Elected as CSC president on Feb. 9, Tanagon will serve for AY 2012-2013 during which there are four regular meetings. He will also have the privilege of participating in the first-ever selection of a private sector representative to the board in a special meeting to be held sometime in July.

Regent Tanagon is the 16th CSC president to sit in the board.  Including him, the following (COE, 6; CBEA, 4; CHS, 3; and CAS, 3) have served as such starting on the 35th regular meeting on Oct. 27, 1997: Ryan Rollaine D.
