MMSU soars in pharmacist, physical therapist exams

FORTY-THREE of 72 MMSU graduates hurdled the January 2010 Licensure Examination for Pharmacists.  The university’s 60 percent rate is the highest in the 31-and-above examinees category, which includes the University of Sto. Tomas and Centro Escolar University.  The national passing rate is 44.09.  However, MMSU’s number one standing is unofficial because an institution has to attain a passing rate of at least 80 percent to be declared a top performing school.

Meanwhile, three of four MMSU examinees, all repeaters, made it in the January 2010 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination.  The university’s 75 percent passing rate is way above the national passing percentage of 42.43.
