MMSU ROTC Unit ranks 3rd in Region I, CAR

WITH A score of 91.8 percent, the Reserved Officers Training Course (ROTC) Unit of the MMSU Batac campus bagged third place in the 2013 ROTC Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) covering Region I and the Cordillera Administrative Region.   

Conducted by officers of the 1st Regional Community Defense Group of the Army Reserved Command of the Philippine Army, the annual evaluation and tactical inspection was held Feb. 4-5 at the MMSU Athletic Grounds.

Led by 1/Lt. Erwin P. Lutap, commandant, and C/Col. Apple Joy Bromeo, the corps commander, the unit scored high in the administrative aspects of office management, filing system, and in the attendance of cadets.

Benguet State University won as Best ROTC Unit, also last year’s top winner. The University of Northern Philippines ranked second.

Fourteen ROTC units in nine tertiary-level institutions participated in the inspection. MMSU has two ROTC units: Batac Campus, which ranked first in 2009, and the College of Industrial Technology.
