By Stewart C. Ocampo
When it rains, it pours.
Claiming another remarkable feat, second in a row for today after the university’s big success in the 2022 Bar Examination, the Mariano Marcos State University recorded an 88.24% institutional passing rate in the 2023 Pharmacists Licensure Examination, earning the third spot among top performing pharmacy schools in the country with 30 or more examinees.
Forty-five out of 51 pharmacy graduates from the MMSU College of Health Sciences successfully hurdled the exam. They are among the 1,420 passers (62.42%), out of 2,275 board takers across the country.
In the same licensure exam, MMSU was 2nd top performing school in 2015, 2016, and 2018; top 3 in 2019 and 2021, and top 6 in 2017.
MMSU President Shirley C. Agrupis expressed her joy for the new pharmacists’ success, congratulating the faculty members of the Department of Pharmacy chaired by Dr. Aileen Camangeg and the entire CHS under the deanship of Prof. Ryan Dean Sucgang.
“In this time, when we direly need excellent health professionals, MMSU stands as an institution that upholds quality and responsiveness," she expressed. (HLY/JVBT, StratCom)
