MMSU - ENACTUS Team won National Tilt Off to Cancun Mexico
This is what the MMSU – ENACTUS Team (formerly SIFE) is looking forward to after winning in the 2013 ENACTUS Philippines National Competition held last July 26, 2013 at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia, in Pasay City.
The MMSU Team is composed of James Ceasar A. Ventura (team leader), Ulysses S. Gaygay, Generous C. Ubasa, all from the College of Teacher Education. Two members also come from the College of Business, Economics and Accountancy, Mariann Jane F. Gan and Aldrin N. Chavez. David A. Pastor, the IT expert of the team is from the College of Engineering. They competed in the 2nd league with Nueva Vizcaya State University and Columban College, Olongapo City. The group won in the league and advanced to the final round. From the four contenders, MMSU – ENACTUS Team emerged Champion while Sultan Kudarat State University, Isulan Campus was adjudged First Runner Up; Sultan Kudarat State University, Takurong Campus was Second Runner Up and Divine Word College of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro landed as Third Runner Up.
This is the fourth National Championship for MMSU. The last time they got hold of the National Championship was in 2010. This year’s winning projects are: 1) Strengthening A Cooperative Through Financial Management; 2) Transforming Lives Through Business; and 3) Empowering Women Through Business. With the students is strong pool of committed and dedicated advisers: Dr. Marivic Alimbuyuguen (Executive Adviser), Ms. Bella C. Gervacio (Adviser) and Mr. Errol John V. Valdez (co-adviser).
