Aiming for a more effective news sharing mechanism, President Miriam E. Pascua, through Special Order 12-005, appointed news correspondents in each of the various colleges and units of the university.

The correspondents are: Prof. Patricia R. Reyes (CAFSD), Mr. Mee Jay A. Domingo (CAS), Prof. Myrna T. Antonio (CASAT), Ms. Carmela R. Guillermo (CBEA), Engr. Karen B. Santiago (CoE), Mr. Ryan Dean T. Sucgang (CHS), Mr. Brian Jay Corpuz (CIT), Dr. Aris Reynold V. Cajigal (GS), Mr. Ronald Candy S. Lasaten (CTE), Ms. Lea C. Agbigay (Research Directorate), Ms. Sherlyn B. Nicolas (Extension Directorate), Ms. Fairie Ann T. Millare (University Library System), Dr. Rosabel L. Acosta (ARO), and Ms. Nataliza L. Llapitan (UCGADRS, IPO).

In a meeting held Jan. 26 at the FEM Hall Conference Room, President Pascua asked everyone’s cooperation in coming up with a regular publication as this mirrors the university’s accomplishments and feats. It was agreed upon that documentation of events will now be done by the respective colleges and units, given the limited manpower of the Communication and Media Relations Office. The correspondents are assigned to prepare news and feature stories for use in the MMSU Newsletter.  

The MMSU Newsletter, formerly called News for the Week, comes out, starting this premier issue, every second and fourth Thursdays of the month.
