GS student leaders conduct medical mission
Graduate School – “Health is wealth.â€
This moved the Graduate School Supreme Student Council (GSSSC) to conduct a health awareness program cum medical mission on Feb. 11 at Brgy. Baresbes, Dingras, Ilocos Norte.
The activity was made possible in collaboration with the Graduate School, College of Health Sciences, Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Office of Ilocos Norte, and the Municipal Government of Dingras. A total of 262 residents benefitted from the said mission where medicines were distributed, especially to those of lower economic status. Other activities included health clinics and education, breast self-examinations, and osteoporosis screening. Dingras Vice Mayor Ruben Marcos; municipal councilors Joey Apostol and Samuel Calano; municipal health officer, Dr. Victoria S. Llacuna; Dr. Laennec Baquiran; MC Makig Drugstore owner, Mrs. Marilou Calano; and PCS Surgeons joined in the medical mission. The beneficiaries were very grateful to the organizers for their remarkable display of concern for them.Gallery
