BASED ON data obtained from the Registrar’s Office, the university has, as of June 22, a total enrolment of 13,135 – marking a 3.39 percent increase from last year.

Of the said figure, undergraduate degree programs account for 11,083 or 84.3 percent of the total university population.  Graduate program registrants number 427 (3.2%); short-term programs, 40 (0.3%); secondary, 716 (5.4%);  elementary, 690 (5.2%); and pre-school, 179 (1.3%).

CBEA continues to record the highest enrolment with 2,606 or 19.68 percent of the total student population.  Coming in second is COE with 2,013 (16.13%); followed by CTE, 1,522 (12.19%); CHS 1,490 (11.94%); CIT, 1,388 (11.12%); CAFSD, 789 (6.32%); CAS, 766 (6.14%); CASAT, 93 (0.76%); and College of Law, 50 (0.38%), which will produce its first set of graduates this academic year.

The colleges with the biggest population gains are CIT (8.99%), CAS (7.61%), and COE (6.41%).

The industrial technology program listed the biggest enrolment at 1,035, followed by the elementary and secondary education programs with 855 and 667, respectively. The meteorology program, which started to be offered this academic year, has two enrollees.

An orientation program for freshmen was held June 13 at the Teatro Ilocandia. Separate welcome rites were held June 14 at CTE and CIT, both based in Laoag City. A total of 3,643 freshmen students enlisted in the university’s nine colleges.
